In August of 2023, one of Browns campaign signs was vandalized with a racial slur.

Brown continued in his statement ” I encourage people to use this as a time to embrace each other, and together, we can create an even greater City by the name of “Pasco.” Furthermore, I want to reiterate that the city staff have worked diligently to support the Council while we have managed through this attack. I know we can stand strong together if we address racism with eyes wide open.

“Pasco can get through this unfortunate behavior by showing the courage to ask the question, how can we make sure this doesn’t happen to one of our residents? It is my hope that we never let racism hurt anyone in the City of Pasco, and if it does happen, we have a clear plan of how to handle it.”
