Pasco appoints Councilmember, Mayor Pro Tem

PASCO, Wash.-The Pasco City Council filled the vacant District 6 seat and elected a Mayor Pro Tem at a special meeting on October 2.

Melissa Blasdel was appointed to fill the District 6 seat that was vacated when Councilmember Craig Maloney resigned on October 2.

Blasdel will serve the remainder of the unexpired term, which expires on December 31, 2025.

According to the City of Pasco, Blasdel has experience serving on numerous local boards and hopes to bring a strong emphasis on community involvement to the board.

Irving Brown, Sr. was also appointed Mayor Pro Tem at the meeting and will assist the Mayor in executing official duties and assume responsibilities when the Mayor is absent according to the City.
