Pacific Power hosting wildfire customer forum June 18 in Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash. – Pacific Power is hosting a free customer forum on Tue., June 18 for attendees to learn how the company is increasing its safety and reliability throughout wildfire season.

The event takes place at the Yakima Valley College Conference Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Experts in meteorology, wildfire mitigation and emergency management will discuss how the power company is adapting to the extreme weather.

Pacific Power will share how it uses advanced forecasting to put itself ahead of adverse weather and what it’s doing to strengthen the electrical grid. Attendees will also learn about Public Safety Power Shutoffs and de-energization work.

A Q&A session is also planned along with a free meal. A livestream is also available online.
