WHITE SWAN, Wash.-One person was seriously injured in a pitbull attack on Aug. 21.
Law Enforcement responded to the 100 block of Birch Avenue after a 911 caller reported three pitbulls attacking two people.
The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the attack involved at least one pitbull and that two people were injured in the attack, one of them seriously.
According to Casey Schilperoort with the YCSO, a medical helicopter was launched for the seriously injured person, but was later canceled and the two injured people have not yet been transported to the hospital.
The pitbulls are still on the loose after the attack and the YCSO is advising White Swan residents to be on the lookout for them, warning that there is a threat to the public from the dogs.
According to the YCSO, witnesses reported that one of the pitbulls has a broken chain around its neck, however, no other identifiable information about the dogs is available.
