UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore.-One person is dead after a single-car rollover on Christmas Eve on I-82.
Oregon State Police responded to the crash near milepost 1 shortly after 6:30 a.m.
According to the OSP, a Chevy Traverse, driven by a 32-year-old San Diego man, was going westbound when it hit the barrier on the bridge before crossing the highway and then rolling in the dirt median.
A minor passenger was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to OSP. Two other passengers, both minors, were transported to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
Umatilla Police, Fire and the Department of Transportation assisted State Police in the response and investigation. The driver received medical attention and stayed at the scene to cooperate in the investigation, according to the OSP.
