One arrested after SWAT situation in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash. – Kennewick Police responded to a SWAT incident on W. 4th Ave. on the morning of Dec. 4.

KPD Officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance around 8:30 a.m. and developed probable cause to arrest a 35-year-old man on suspicion of making felony threats, according to KPD Commander Jason Kiel.

The suspect was reportedly armed and threatened to shoot up the house, according to Commander Kiel.

Two females were in the home at the time of the situation. One woman left the home and the second one was able to leave the home when SWAT arrived.

According to Commander Kiel, the suspect decided to come out of the house and was arrested on suspicion of felony threats and for a federal warrant.
