Olympic water polo team gets off bus to lift parked cars in way

This is the moment an Olympic team were forced into an impromptu weights session – lifting a car so their bus could get down a Paris street.

The Greek water polo team was returning to the athlete’s village after training when their vehicle got stuck in the suburb of Vincennes.

Noticing a car in the way, several team members climbed out of their bus and worked to lift a parked car – much to the amusement of onlookers.

The video shows the team – who won silver medals at the Tokyo Games – working together.

Residents on the street opened their homes to the athletes so they could wash their hands and use their bathrooms before they carried on their journey.

The footage was captured by France 24 journalist Bahar Makooi.
