WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Walla Walla Police Department announced the arrest of a serial burglar on Facebook Tuesday evening.
40-year-old Robert J. Frates was arrested after being identified as the suspect of a burglary on Nov. 27 on the 2200 block of Melrose Street. He was also identified in a second burglary from later that day on the 100 block of East Alder Street.
WWPD says Frates has a “notorious history” of burglary in Walla Walla, noting that the arrest is a “significant milestone” for the agency.
Frates was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree malicious mischief for physical damage.
