KENNEWICK, Wash.- Memorial Day weekend marks the transitionary period into summer and the warm weather it promises. Are you unsure about your holiday plans?

The following is a compiled list of Memorial weekend activities before the upcoming holiday. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly fun or solo relaxing, we have something for you:

75-cent Jean Adult Pant Sale and Sidewalk Sale

The Family Resource Center of the Tri-Cities is trying to reach a goal of selling 1,000 pairs of jeans. The center has joined forces with other local businesses to provide a greater variety of adult jeans for the giant sale. All pants will be 75 cents.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Family Resource Center.

Memorial Weekend Swim

Memorial Aquatic Park in Pasco welcomes the community for their 3-day summer kick-off Memorial Weekend Swim. The event boasts an affordable way to enjoy the water and outdoors. Tickets cost $4 per person.

The Memorial Weekend Swim runs every day from March 25 through May 27 from 1 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Spring Market

Badger Mountain Organic Winery and Powers Winery are hosting a Spring Market in Kennewick. The market will feature local vendors, food trucks, and live music. The event is free and family-friendly.

The market will be on Saturday, May 25, from noon to 5 p.m.

Moses Lake Spring Festival Car Show

Cruisin’ Moses Lake is hosting its annual car show. The show will feature a ‘Show and Shine’ section where cars and motorcycles will be on display, a bass competition, and an award ceremony to close the show. The event is free to the public and invites those with cars and motorcycles to register their vehicles. The registration fee is $25 per car and $10 per motorcycle.

The car show will be May 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dayton Days Rodeo and Parade

Patrick McLaughlin of Shamrock Rodeo and Tucker Cool with Bar X Ranches welcome the community to a rodeo that includes a late-morning parade, food, crafts, and a beer garden. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors, military, and youth, and children under 5 are free.

The event will be held at the Columbia County Fairgrounds in Dayton on Saturday, May 25, from 11 a.m. onward.

Rainbow Prom

Yakima Pride hosts their annual Rainbow Prom experience for LGBTQ+ youth, friends, and allies in Union Gap. The event will be hosted by Sophia Zha Ji Sinclair, whose accolades include Miss Gay Washington 2022, Empress 11 of the Imperial Court of Arizona, Miss Capital Cities, Miss Arizona at Large, Miss Rock Pride, and Miss Rainbow Cactus Pride.

The event will include a Drag Show, Lip-Sync Battle, Food, mocktails, music, and a 360 photo booth.

Rainbow Prom will held on Sunday, May 26, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for students 14-20 years old.

Lavender Fields

Paint The Town Events is hosting a guided painting class at Budd’s Broilers’ Steakhouse in Richland. The event will offer a three-course meal and happy hour menu. The painting instruction will be done step-by-step, and supplies will be provided.

Tickets for the event are $29 and do not include food or beverages. It is for those 14 years of age and up.

The event will be Sunday, May 26, from 2 p.m. onward.
