The Wishing Star Foundation grants wishes for kids who are terminal or battling a life-threatening illness.
Ashleigh Rogers, Wish Programs and Outreach Manager, said the program relies on community partners. “We really have a generous community that really helps us push these wishes forward,” said Rogers.
Rogers said providing these wishes creates lasting memories for kids and gives them a chance to step away from some of the challenges they are dealing with.
“I think it also lifts the families up and reminds them that they aren’t alone,” said Rogers.
For people looking to contribute to granting someone’s wish, the Wishing Star Foundation is hosting its the “Send a Friend a Goat” campaign. It runs from May 20-24 and the foundation is looking for goat wrangler volunteers and sponsors. the volunteer sign up goes live April 1st.
