TRI-CITIES, Wash.- NAMI Tri-Cities is a nonprofit standing for National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization with over 600 local affiliates.
NAMI works with local organizations and middle and high schools to present “Ending the Silence”. The ETS presentations help youth learn the warning signs of mental health conditions.
Pam Wright, Board of Directors for NAMI Tri-Cities said people who are interested in these free presentations can email NAMItricities@gmail.com or contact them on their website. “We get to the students to let them know it’s okay to talk about mental illness,” said Wright.
NAMI Tri-Cities will be tabling at the Alternative Gift Fair December 7. This is a chance for people to give back to local and national organizations and nonprofits. You can visit Community Unitarian Universalist Church 12p.m.-4p.m.
