Nonprofit organization Montana Hope Project receives $25,000 donation

HELENA, Mont. – The Montana Hope Project received a $25,000 donation Tuesday to help fulfill the dreams of critically ill children in the state.

A release from First Interstate Bank said in a release First Interstate and the First Interstate BancSystem Foundation donated the funds as a part of its Believe in Local campaign.

“We are incredibly appreciative of First Interstate’s generosity and support,” Montana Hope Project treasurer Deborah Butler said in the release. “This donation helps us to further our mission of fulfilling the dreams and wishes of the children of Montana who suffer from a terminal, critical, or chronic illness. We’re thankful to have dedicated partners like First Interstate working with us to support and strengthen our community.”

First Interstate Bank’s Believe in Local campaign started in 2022 as a way to support communities and gives 40 nonprofit organizations $25,000 every year.

Montana Hope Project received 550 submissions from local First Interstate employees.

“Giving back to the places we call home is central to who we are as a community bank,” First Interstae Bank teller Lori Larson said in the release. “Our Believe in Local grant campaign captures our core values in action and is the ideal way to celebrate the nonprofit organizations that deliver the greatest positive impact. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to further support Montana Hope Project in its work to make our community a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
