Nominations open for community excellence awards in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash.-Nominations are now open for the Walla Walla Community Excellence Awards.

The Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce is combining the Business Awards Showcase and the Community Awards into the Community Excellence Awards this year.

The new awards format will honor local businesses and community leaders for their contributions to the region and will include businesses, hometown heroes and community service, according to the WWVCC

Nominations for the Community Excellence Awards are open from Oct. 18 through Nov. 22 and can be filled out online. The awards will be presented on Dec. 11 at Baker Boyer Bank in downtown Walla Walla starting at 5:30 p.m.
