KENNEWICK, Wash.-No one was injured in an early morning mobile home fire on the morning of Monday, Jan. 15.
Firefighters responded to the fire at 812 W. Klamath Ave. in Kennewick around 1:10 a.m.
Smoke was coming from the front door of the home and from under the eaves when fire crews arrived, according to the KFD. Firefighters immediately began fighting the fire and working to ensure that no one was inside the home.
The fire was put out in about 20 minutes, however, firefighters worked longer to put out smoldering material underneath the mobile home.
According to the KFD, two adults and a child were inside the home when the fire started, but were able to get out after seeing smoke and finding a fire in the dryer.
No injuries were reported to firefighters or the family from the fire and the Red Cross was contacted to help the family with short-term assistance.
