RICHLAND, Wash. – The City of Richland is hosting its second annual Dive into Summer event on Sat., June 15 at John Dam Plaza, featuring several activities and the unveiling of a new Richland Public Library mascot.
Dive into Summer features music, book challenges, crafts, big rigs and information on other community-wide activities going on over the summer.
The event starts with two $1 swim sessions at 1:30 p.m. and at 3:45 p.m. at the George Prout Pool then continues later at John Dam Plaza from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Groove Principal, a band comprised of local school educators, will be performing throughout the event.
The new mascot for the Richland Public Library will make their entrance at 7 p.m.
John Dam Plaza is located at 815 George Washington Way. The event is free, other than the swim sessions.
