RICHLAND, Wash. – A new Neighborhood Traffic Safety (NTS) program is being released in Richland to improve traffic-related safety for neighborhood residents, according to the City of Richland.
The NTS program will provide the installation of traffic calming devices and other safety countermeasures after a quantitative evaluation and based on funding.
Residents will be able to request a street or neighborhood to be reviewed for implementation of the NTS program year-round.
Requests received before Feb. 28 of each year will be evaluated and scored for review and possible implementation of the program in the same year.
More information on the full process of implementation and applications can be found on the City of Richland website.
