YAKIMA, Wash.-National Teen Driver Safety Week is Oct. 20-26 and the Yakima Police Department is encouraging parents and families to talk about safe driving habits, while setting a good example behind the wheel.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, teen drivers have a higher rate of fatal crashes, due largely to their inexperience as drivers.
