YAKIMA, Wash. – The MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is reaching its maximum capacity of patients due to high numbers of respiratory illnesses in the community.
The hospital announced the lack of space on Friday, urging the community to see primary care providers and urgent care clinics for non-emergencies to save hospital space for those that need it the most.
MultiCare Yakima recommends wearing a mask to protect yourself and the community and to be up-to-date on COVID and influenza vaccinations.
The hospital also requests the community to lessen the amount of visitors because of limits to staffing and preventing the spread of infection.
