Motorcycles crash after hitting spilled potatoes on I-182, traffic backed up between Pasco and Richland

PASCO, Wash.-Traffic is currently backed up at the junction of I-182 and SR 240 exit in Richland due two separate crashes.

Washington State Patrol Troopers are responding to two motorcycle crashes that are blocking traffic in the westbound lanes.

According to Trooper Chris Thorson, a semi-truck spilled potato sludge onto the road and the two motorcycles lost control and crashed when they drove over it.

One westbound lane is currently open, however, traffic is backed up in the area.
