BOZEMAN, Mont. – Montana State University’s football team is on the road to Frisco, Texas, with a chance to cap off an undefeated season. The team’s success is not only a point of pride for fans but also a significant boost for the local economy.
The Western Cafe, a beloved Bozeman favorite, is feeling the impact. The cafe’s owner, Sue Sabina, is thrilled about the increased business. “We sell an awful lot of them. It’s super popular, but it ties us into the university, and we have an awful lot of students that come in. It’s our opportunity to be part of that,” she said, referring to the popular Bobcat breakfast.
The Bobcat breakfast includes cinnamon roll French toast, eggs, a choice of meat, and hash browns made with local Manhattan potatoes. This offering has become a staple for both locals and visitors, especially during football season.
The Chamber of Commerce notes that these playoff games bring millions of dollars in local spending, with restaurants seeing a significant boost before and after games. The excitement is palpable as the community rallies around the team.
As the community gears up for the big game, the support for Montana State University and its impact on Bozeman’s economy continues to grow.
