Missoula’s Maclay Bridge renovations continue

Missoula – We are continuing our coverage on the renovations of Missoula’s Maclay Bridge, which has been under construction for over two months – a bit longer than originally expected.

Renovations on this Missoula infrastructure began mid-March and have closed off locals from direct access to the Maclay Flats, the Target Range School, and several neighborhoods.

Missoula County Engineer, Erik Dickson explains, “You know, we’re working on 220ft of deck, and we’re down to about a 4 or 5 inch section . . . each time we have to trace it back a little further, we find things and we have to adjust.”

In a post to ‘X’ from March 8th, the County predicted renovations would be wrapped up by the second week of June – this is still the expectation of Missoula County engineers.

“I’ll say we expect to still hit that mid-June, opening date.”

With any future updates on the completion of the bridge – NonStop will keep you informed.
