Missoula Chamber of Commerce looking for new CEO

MISSOULA, Mont. – The Missoula Chamber of Commerce is actively searching for a new CEO after closing its application process yesterday. With the legislative session approaching, the selection committee spent numerous hours on Tuesday vetting applicants from across the country.

John Brauer, Acting CEO of the Missoula Chamber of Commerce, explained the importance of the new CEO’s role in aligning with other state CEOs on legislative matters.

“Particularly with the legislative session coming up… We’re going to make sure that our new CEO is touching base with all other CEOs in the state and on the same page legislatively,” Brauer said.

The previous CEO served for less than a year. While specific reasons for the change weren’t detailed, Brauer emphasized that the Chamber is now in the deliberation process for the position.

The Chamber aims to announce a new CEO before their annual banquet in late October. However, they acknowledge that the process may take some time. Brauer mentioned that the Chamber hopes to finalize the sorting of applications by the end of the week.
