TOPPENISH, Wash.-The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a missing person whose body was found on Sept. 8 as a homicide.
The man, found near the intersection of Tule Rd and Plank Rd, was identified through dental records as Martin Baldemar Meraz, 45, of Outlook.
According to the YCSO, Meraz’s family reported him missing in August and they have been notified of his death.
YCSO Deputies responded to the area near the intersection and found Meraz’s body. An autopsy determined that he died from a gunshot wound and the investigation into his death is ongoing.
