Mid-Columbia Libraries Summer Reading Challenge kicks off June 1

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Mid-Columbia Libraries is starting its annual Summer Reading Challenge on June 1, in which readers of all ages can read or listen to audiobooks over the summer for a chance to win prizes.

The challenge goes until Aug. 17. During that time, readers must read or listen to audiobooks for 15 hours to win a free book (kids 12 and under) or a book bag (12 and up).

Anyone who reads for 15 hours is also entered to win a Nintendo Switch and many other prizes.

Mid-Columbia Libraries uses the app Beanstack, which is available on mobile devices and computers, to track reading and allow readers to discover new books.
