PASCO, Wash. – According to Pasco Parks & Recreation, the Memorial Aquatic Park will be closed for an extended period of time due to a “recent critical incident.”
All activities at the park, including swim lessons, recreational summer swim team and open swim sessions up until Fri., June 21 are canceled. Non-City practices for Channel Cats and Atomic Swim Teams will continue on Thu., June 20.
The City of Pasco says the closure allows time for reviewing safety procedures and supporting staff.
Missed lessons will be rescheduled to Fri., June 28. Anyone with concerns are asked to contact the City at 509-545-3456 or recreation@pasco-wa.gov.
