GRANDVIEW, Wash.-A man with a gun was arrested near Grandview High School on the morning of December 3.
Grandview High reported a man in the area with a gun to Grandview PD around 9 a.m.
Police responded to the school, spoke with witnesses and reviewed surveillance video. According to a Grandview PD social media post, the suspect was known to police and probable cause was developed for his arrest.
Grandview schools were placed under lockdown as police searched for the 21-year-old suspect who was found running in the area and taken into custody around 9:12 a.m.
According to Grandview PD, the suspect was booked into the Yakima County Jail on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm, brandishing a weapon, possessing a dangerous weapon on school property and disturbing school or school activities.
