SPOKANE, Wash.- A man accused of raping a woman in the Spokane Valley on Feb. 5 was arrested in the Tri-Cities on Feb. 12.
On Feb. 5, Spokane Valley police responded to a reported rape at a local hotel. Gregory Boris, a Kennewick resident, was accused of raping a woman who said that they had been friends without any prior violent incidents.
Detectives with the Spokane Valley Sexual Assault Unit notified Tri-Cities police that they had probable cause to charge Boris with rape, harassment and attempted strangulation.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service coordinated Borris’ arrest on Feb. 12. He was sent back to Spokane the following day to face three separate charges related to the alleged rape in Spokane County Superior Court.
Boris is currently in Spokane County Jail and could face additional charges.
