KENNEWICK, Wash. – A man was trespassed from Kennewick School District schools Thursday morning after allegedly following students and parents at an elementary school.
At around 8:42 a.m., officers were sent to Amistad Elementary for reports of a suspicious man that was following people with a knife and unknown intentions. A KSD employee called in the report.
Two School Safety Officers at Amistad immediately responded and found the man near 1st Avenue and Kent Street. Extra officers arrived moments later and detained him.
After an investigation, police found that nothing criminal occurred. KPD says no one was injured and that there were no alleged assaults or other criminal activity.
KPD says the man was trespassed from KSD and to call 911 if you see something at a school that is suspicious.
