WAPATO, Wash.-A man suspected of murdering his girlfriend in Wapato is now on the run.
Yakima County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic violence situation with reports of shots being fired on the 100 block of Mellis Road in the early morning hours of Sept. 6.
A woman was found at the scene with gunshot wounds, according to the YCSO. Deputies attempted lifesaving measures, however, she later died from her injuries.
The suspect, a 45-year-old Yakima man, was last seen driving a white 2018 Cadillac XTS.
