WAPATO, Wash.-A man suspected of burglary was arrested after being seen crawling through a window and running from police on the night of Feb. 13.
Wapato Police responded to Ana’s Cafe on the 700 block of W. 1st St. for reports of a possible burglary in progress around 8:20 p.m.
According to a Wapato PD social media post, a witness reported seeing the suspect leave the cafe by crawling through a broken window.
Yakima County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Wapato PD in locating the suspect, who then led law enforcement on a brief chase before being taken into custody.
Items belonging to the restaurant were found on the suspect, according to Wapato PD, and they were booked into the Yakima County Jail on suspicion of multiple charges.
