KENNEWICK, Wash.-A man was arrested on outstanding warrants after being caught running with a stolen Christmas tree on Dec. 3.
Kennewick Police Officers in the area of 4th Ave. and Zillah Street reportedly saw a man dressed in all black running with a Christmas tree around 8:30 p.m.
Other vehicles had to swerve to avoid hitting the man and the Officers decided to stop him. The man kept running even after the Officers turned on their lights before finally being detained, according to the KPD.
After investigating the KPD Officers learned that the Christmas tree was stolen and the man had outstanding arrest warrants.
The alleged Christmas tree bandit was booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of disorderly conduct, obstructing law enforcement and 3rd degree theft.
