PASCO, Wash.-A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car while attempting to cross I-182 near Road 100 in Pasco early on the morning of March 12.
According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Mosqueda, the man was moving southbound from the right shoulder of the road when they were hit by a car driving west.
The man was reportedly running across the highway, which is illegal to do, according to WSP Trooper Chris Thorson.
The driver of the car was uninjured, however, their car “became disabled upon impact” with the pedestrian, according to Trooper Mosqueda.
The westbound lanes are now reopened after being closed due to the crash and traffic is moving in the area.
The driver will not face any charges from the incident, according to the WSP.
