Man arrested with a machete after weapons complaint in Richland

RICHLAND, Wash.-One man is behind bars after a suspected weapons complaint involving a machete on Dec. 30.

Richland police responded to the weapons complaint near the Richland Yacht Club around 4:50 p.m.

According to the RPD, the suspect reportedly threatened to kill the person who called police and chased them with the weapon.

Officers found the suspect near Bud’s Broiler and they were arrested with a machete and a piece of rebar after backup arrived, according to an RPD social media post.
