KENNEWICK, Wash. – A man was arrested in Kennewick on Sunday for trespassing and threatening officers according to the Kennewick Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a man with a large sharpened stick who was trespassing on the 200 block of Vista Way.
KPD reports that the man threatened to attack the officers after they arrived. Officers spent 50 minutes negotiating him after telling him he was under arrest.
The man was eventually arrested by KPD with support from a police K9. He was taken into custody and booked into the Benton County Jail for assault and several misdemeanor charges.
