KENNEWICK, Wash.- According to a media release sent by the Kennewick Police Department,
KPD was dispatched to a report of an assault in the 100 block of North Ely Street.
It was reported that an elderly woman was assaulted by a man. The man then left the area on foot.
When officers arrived they located a man who matched the description of the suspect according to KPD.
According to KPD, the man ran away on foot and hid in the backyard of a nearby residence.
KPS deployed K9 Ivan to help locate the suspect. Ivan led officers to where the suspect was hiding.
According to KPD, after locating the man KPD had enough probable cause to arrest the man for suspected assault and robbery.
