Man arrested after stopping Amtrak train in Benton County with “manic and volatile” behavior

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-One person was arrested after reportedly causing a disturbance on an Amtrak train in Benton County on Nov. 18.

The train stopped near Piert Road and Riek Road and Benton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the incident.

According to the BCSO, a man on the train found to be in the possession of narcotics was detained after acting manic and volatile on board.

The suspect was checked out at the hospital and then booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of delaying/obstructing a train and possession of narcotics.
