BENTON COUNTY, Wash.- A suspect with multiple warrants has been arrested after shooting through a door at Benton County Sheriff Deputies on March 7.
BCSO says it was looking for the suspect after he alleged ran from police the day before. He had warrants for obstructing law enforcement, reckless driving and driving with an invalidated license.
When deputies found him, he ran into a trailer while a search warrant was being secured. After getting the search warrant, deputies tried to open a door when the suspect shot a gun through the door, missing law enforcement.
The SWAT team was called out and the suspect called dispatch saying he was surrendering and walked out voluntarily avoiding further incident.
BCSO says no one was hurt at the scene and no deputies fired their weapons.
The search warrant on the trailer found a shotgun and two pistols.
The suspect has been booked into jail on suspicion on first degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
