A man and a woman have been charged with having sex with a dog.

Graham Marshall, 38, and Paige Reaney, 33, allegedly committed the crimes against a dog called Charlie, whose breed wasn’t disclosed.

Both defendants are charged with one offense of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and “namely regularly subjecting him to habitual sexual activity.”

They also face one offense of duty of the person responsible for the animal to ensure the welfare in that they “failed to protect him from pain and suffering caused by habitual sexual activity”.

The pair appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court in South Yorks, yesterday (Monday) and spoke to confirm their name, age and address.

Reaney, of Sheffield, South Yorks,. has been charged with an offense relating to “causing or allowing” sexual intercourse with the same dog.

The charge is said to relate to sexual activity which is alleged to have occurred on “no fewer than five occasions”.

She also faces one count of possessing extreme pornographic images relating to sexual acts involving a “dead/alive animal” from November 2021 to February 2022.

Marshall, of no fixed abode, is also charged with one offense of aiding and abetting a female person to have sexual intercourse with a dog.

He’s also been charged with three counts of possessing extreme pornographic images relating to sexual acts involving a ‘dead/alive animal’.

Marshall also faces one count of voyeurism and eight counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of children of Categories A, B and C.

The case was sent to Sheffield Crown Court, where both defendants are set to appear in September.
