RICHLAND, Wash.-Gesa Credit Union announced that 42 organizations throughout the state, including some local educators, healthcare workers, firefighters, law enforcement officers and veterans organizations have been awarded Local Heroes Grants for 2023.
“We view local heroes as those that step forward to make our communities better,” said Richard Waddle, Executive Vice President of Gesa Credit Union.
The grant recipients were selected by the Gesa Credit Union Community Foundation selection committee and will receive more than $410,000, with the top awards totaling close to $50,000, according to the credit union.
