SUNNYSIDE, Wash.- Black Rock Creek is an 18-hole golf course in the Yakima Valley. Gene Iwami, General Manager, said the course has seen huge improvements since new ownership in 2019.
“We took out trees, we changed some holes and the general condition of the course is way better than it ever has been,” said Iwami.
Iwami said the location of Black Rock Creek is another reason it’s a great place to golf.
“We are at a price point that is a little lower than Tri-Cities and Yakima because we are in the Valley here.”
Quinell Oucharek, Assistant Golf Pro, credits the staff at Black Rock Creek for its well-kept grounds.
“We have some of the best greens in the Valley between Yakima and Tri-Cities,” said Oucharek. “I think the best part about this course is probably the crew that we have here from ownership on down to our maintenance crew and our Pro Shop workers.”
