NORTH BEND, Wash.-Labor Day Weekend travel is off to a slow start in the eastbound lanes of I-90 between North Bend and Ellensburg.
Drivers are currently experiencing delays and backups, according to the Washington Department of Transportation and should plan on adding extra travel time to reach their vacation destinations.
The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office is advising drivers to not detour through Cle Elum unless they need a break from the road.
In a social media post, the KCSO says detouring through neighborhoods in Cle Elum will actually make your trip longer and is reminding drivers to be courteous and not block intersections or driveways.
