KENNEWICK, Wash.-A Kennewick Police Detective has been arrested after an alleged assault with a weapon on September 24.
Kennewick Police began investigating an alleged assault shortly after midnight. According to the Department, when it became evident that the case involved a KPD Detective, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office was requested to take over the investigation.
As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old KPD Detective was arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault in the 2nd degree. According to court documents he is being held on a 72-hour felony investigation hold.
