YAKIMA, Wash. – UPDATE: JUNE 24. The Keys Road fire is now out after burning about 20 and a half acres, according to the Department of Natural Resources.
The fire was fully contained on the morning of June 23, according to the DNR.

Yakima Valley Emergency Management has confirmed all evacuation notices have been lifted for the Keys Road fire.

UPDATE: JUNE 22 8:05 P.M
Level 2 “Get Ready” remains in place for Terrance Heights after a fire broke out on Friday near Keys Road.
Incident Commander Lane Berry from the Department of Natural Resources confirmed the fire reached just over 20 acres. He says the evacuation notice will be revisited once the fire is contained.
Crews hope to have the fire contained by 7p.m. on Saturday.

Level 2: BE READY evacuations are in place for residents of the Terrace Heights area due to a wildfire.
The fire on the 600 block of Keys Road is 30 acres in size and its forward progression has stopped, according to Yakima Valley Emergency Management Director Tony Miller.
Air assets from the Department of Natural Resources are on scene and state mobilization was authorized to fight the fire. East Valley Fire District 4 will be monitoring the fire overnight while mobilized crews will monitor it on Saturday.
West-Valley Fire Rescue also responded to the fire and has three trucks on scene, according to a social media post from the department.
The evacuation order is in place from the intersection of University Parkway and North Keys Road west to the Yakima River and south along the Yakima River to West Birchfield Road. Then West to the intersection of West Birchfield Road and South Keys Road. Then heading North on University Place Parkway to the intersection of North Keys Road and University Place Parkway.
An evacuation center hosted by the Red Cross opened at 4 p.m. at the Terrace Heights Elementary School located at 101 41st Ave. Anyone that has been evacuated can go to the evacuation center.
When going to an evacuation center, the Red Cross recommends bringing prescription medications, extra clothes, pillows and blankets, hygiene supplies, important documents and diapers, formula and toys for children.
