KENNEWICK, Wash. – A Kennewick teen with an active felony warrant for his arrest was arrested Thursday morning after showing off a handgun in an Instagram story.
Kennewick Police saw the Instagram story and noted that he had an active felony warrant for his arrest and was previously convicted of several felonies. Because of this, he cannot legally own a firearm.
Detectives found that he was living in an apartment near West Metaline avenue and North Arthur Street and arrested him at around 11:20 a.m.
A search warrant for the apartment found two handguns and other firearm accessories, per KPD.
KPD says the teen cannot be named due to him being a juvenile.
