KENNEWICK, Wash.-A Kennewick man suspected of a hit-and-run that hospitalized a bicyclist has been arrested.
Kennewick Police and firefighters responded to the incident on Paul Parish drive between Columbia Center Boulevard and Edison Street around 4:39 p.m. on Monday, July 22.
A 63-year-old man on a bike was taken to the hospital after suffering non-life threatening injuries, including several broken ribs and cuts after being hit by a white car, according to the KPD.
The car initially stopped, but then left the scene before police arrived, however, dash cam footage from a witness helped KPD officers identify the suspect’s car.
According to the KPD, a 34-year-old Kennewick man was later arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run with injury.
KPD’s Traffic Unit is now investigating the crash.
