KENNEWICK, Wash.- According to a press release sent by the Kennewick Police Department, a man is in custody for the manslaughter of a 2-month-old girl.
According to KPD, on Sept. 14 officers were called for reports of a 2-month-old girl who has stopped breathing at an apartment on the 4300 block of West Hood Avenue.
According to KPD, the Kennewick Fire Department attempted life-saving measures. However, the 2-month-old girl was pronounced dead on the scene.
Kennewick Police Department detectives then took over the case and contacted the 41-year-old man who was in charge of the baby at the time of the death.
According to KPD, after an autopsy and consultations with several medical professionals probable cause was determined to arrest the 41-year-old man,
On Sept. 9, the U.S. Marshals Task Force located and arrested the 41-year-old for suspected Manslaughter 1st degree.
