KENNEWICK, Wash. – Family and Friends gathered at Woody’s Bull Pen Bar and Grille on Sunday to remember a local business owner, mother, wife, and friend.

Billi Cameron or Momma B died last month after saving her dog Diego from two pit bulls that got into her yard and attacked her dog.

The community is coming together to share not only the most important meal of the day but important stories and memories of Cameron and what she meant to them.

Dwayne Woodard, Cameron’s husband said seeing so many people there is overwhelming and awesome.

The Woodard family owns and operates Woody’s Bull Pen Bar and Grille in Kennewick next door to Les Schwab off of Clearwater Ave. in Kennewick.

After the death of Cameron, there has been an outpouring of support for the family.

Woodard said the bar partnered with The Independent Family to put on a benefit in Cameron’s honor.

“The Independent Family has put on a breakfast for everybody and they’re making donations for Billi,” said Woodard. “The money we raise will go to help pay for expenses, funeral expenses and what’s left over, we’re going to donate to any type of dog charity.”

Cherie Broadway is the secretary for The Independent Family and said Cameron loved everybody.

“We love Billi, Woody, Jackson Hope and Jordan,” said Broadway. “We wanted to make sure we could do something to help out.”

The breakfast included biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon and sausage.

Broadway took the time to share one of her favorite memories of Cameron.

“Billi, the music would start going and she would just dance around and have a great time,” she said. “I just love her.”

Woodard said due to so much support for the community, and not enough space at the bar, there will be a couple of ways to show support.

“We have a celebration of life on the 28th of October,” Woodard said.

Woodard said the family is holding up and is doing okay.

“We’re getting by day by day,” he said. “A lot of family support, a lot of love and all the customers I have here are awesome. It feels good.”
