KENNEWICK, Wash.- UPDATE: 3:25 p.m. According to KPD the roadway is now open.

A fallen tree is blocking one lane of Kennewick Avenue in Downtown Kennewick.
According to Kennewick Police Officer Cain, A large tree in the front yard of a home had rotted roots. The rotten roots and high winds caused the tree to fall over into the roadway.
The tree fell onto the road at the intersection of Kennewick Avenue and Dayton Street.
According to Cain the road will reopen in about 30 minutes.
No injures or property damage has been reported.
