TRI-CITIES, Wash.-Juneteenth events are planned around the region June 14-19.
In addition to the Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Program at Chiawana High School on Friday, June 14 at 6 p.m., the Tri-Cities Juneteenth Committee has several events on tap.
On Saturday, June 15, the Juneteenth Festival will start with a parade at 11 a.m., followed by the festival in Kurtzman Park in Pasco at noon.
The Rollarena in Richland will host a Skate Party on Wednesday, June 19. Skaters ages 15 and under will skate from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and those 16 and older will skate from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Several community organizations will also come together for a Day of Service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Kurtzman Park on June 19.
Kurtzman Park is located at 331 S. Wehe Avenue in Pasco.
