UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore.-An Irrigon woman was killed when she hit a semi on I-84 on June 16.
Oregon State Police responded to the crash near milepost 220 around 5:57 p.m.
According to the OSP, the 56-year-old woman was driving a Dodge Ram in the westbound lane when she hit the back of a Peterbilt semi driven by a 29-year-old Meridian, Idaho man.
The semi reportedly had its hazards on and was heading down a steep stretch of road when the crash happened. I-84 was closed for about four hours due to the crash.
The woman died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, according to the OSP. The truck driver was uninjured.
